It is known that recently, the Ministry of Public Security and the State Bank have warned about the appearance of some new types of counterfeit money circulating on the market with denominations of 20,000 VND, 50,000 VND and 500,000 VND.
Therefore, the Vietnam Banking Association will coordinate with the Department of Issuance and Treasury - State Bank of Vietnam to organize this training course, in order to contribute to minimizing the risk of counterfeiting and money consumption tricks. in banking transaction activities, ensuring safety and efficiency in treasury management at credit institutions.
Course objectives:
The course will update regulations on preventing and combating counterfeit money and protecting Vietnamese currency. Ensure compliance with regulations of the State Bank as well as the industry in counting, classifying, collecting and spending, preserving and transporting cash, precious assets, and valuable papers in the banking industry.
At the same time, improve the skills of recognizing real and fake money in VND and foreign currencies for officers conducting cash transactions of credit institutions. Along with, imparting practical experience in the field of currency and anti-counterfeit money work; Criminal tricks for selling counterfeit money. Thereby, gradually standardizing professional expertise for staff performing currency appraisal work of credit institutions.
Course content:
Specifically, the course content is skills to recognize real and fake money such as: Security characteristics of Vietnamese polymer money; Skills to recognize real/fake VND money; Warning about some new types of counterfeit money discovered in circulation recently and how to identify real and fake money; Regulations on handling counterfeit and suspected counterfeit money in the banking industry; Security features and how to identify real/fake USD and EURO; Security features and how to identify real/fake Chinese Yuan (CNY); Practice recognizing real money - fake money with VND and USD; Answers and multiple choice tests at the end of the course.
Lecturers are leading experts with qualifications and experience, directly developing documents and policies in the field of treasury currency of the Department of Issuance and Treasury - State Bank of Vietnam.

Participants in the course are officials directly related to monetary and treasury work: cashiers, treasurers, tellers, and members of the vault management board. In addition, other subjects have training needs related to monetary and treasury operations.

Until September 23, 2023 (01 day), in Ho Chi Minh City, the course will be held on Saturday (Morning: 8:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.; Afternoon: 1:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.) at the State Bank Hall - Branch Ho Chi Minh City, No. 12 Ham Nghi, District 1, City. Ho Chi Minh.
Certification:
After the course, the Vietnam Banking Association will issue a course completion certificate according to the regulations of the State Bank.
